About usOur group was formed in April 2007 by two new and enthusiastic facilitators, Yvonne Corstorphin and Ngareta Ring, who were both passionate about sharing harmonies in the community, but tentative about stepping out and making it happen.

Choir projectsMembers are equally passionate about spreading harmony throughout the community; with a generosity of spirit in everything we do, we enjoy sharing our gift of song with others, as well as our friendship, support, care, kindness and time.

African Children's ChoirFollowing the outstanding success of the 2013 Australian tour, a second African Children’s Choir visited the Sunshine Coast in June 2015. Cool Harmonies members again hosted these amazing kids who learnt our Cool Harmonies body percussion song!

Every Thursday morning you can walk past the Uniting Church Hall in Coolum and hear the sound of raucous laughter and luscious harmonies coming from a group of ordinary folk who gather together to enjoy friendship, fun and the joy of singing.
Cool Harmonies have been singing up a storm for 11 years now, and grown into a community choir with more than 70 members.
We have a diverse repertoire that includes rhythms from Africa to the Middle East, and sing in a range of styles from gospel to swing.
We are passionate about sharing these uplifting sounds with others, and encourage anyone, from closet singers to divas, to come and join us in our relaxed and supportive environment, to discover just how much fun it is to SING!
